The books of Psalms, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes form a trilogy which sets forth the voice of the soul. Job says, 'Oh, that I knew where I might find him.' But it may surprise you to know that throughout the Christian centuries it has been one of the most read and most loved books of all. The Song of Solomon is regarded today as probably one of the most obscure and difficult books in the Bible. The scriptures were given to us so that we might understand ourselves and our God, and the Old Testament books make a tremendous contribution to such an understanding.
